Celebrating Team Spirit: The Box Cricket Tournament at Mobmaxime

At Mobmaxime, We believe in fostering team spirit and camaraderie among our employees. And what better way to do that than through sports? On the rare occasion of a fifth Saturday in March, we seized the opportunity to celebrate our very own sports day. This year, the spotlight shone on an exhilarating Box Cricket Tournament.

It all started with a casual chat between me and a colleague, reminiscing about past sports days and brainstorming ideas for this year’s event. We were inspired to try something new, and the idea of a Box Cricket Tournament seemed like just the ticket. After getting the green light from management, we got down to business. 

We knew we needed strong leaders to captain the teams, so we turned to our trusted Team Leaders for help. After some deliberation, we selected four individuals who we knew had the drive and determination to lead their teams to victory. 

Next came the auction – a nail-biting affair where team members were bought and sold like prized possessions. Some went for a pretty penny, while others found themselves waiting to be picked. By the end of it, we had four teams, each raring to go with eleven players ready to give it their all.  

As dawn broke on the big day, the air buzzed with excitement. After a hearty breakfast to fuel our bodies and spirits, the teams took to the field with gusto. The excitement was palpable. Despite the scorching sun, the energy on the field was nothing short of incredible. With cheers and chants filling the air, the matches got underway, and it was game on.

Fast forward through eight intense innings, and we had our winners – Team Soul Spartan emerged victorious, their spirits soaring as they lifted the trophy high.

But it wasn’t just about the winning team – we took a moment to celebrate individual excellence too. Awards were handed out for the best bowler, batsman, fielder, and standout performers of the series, acknowledging the talent and dedication on display.
